1. Doing your 'thing' without caring about the world.
Do what you want because you can and because you don't want to regret tomorrow that you didn't. If you think you are capable of doing something you really want to do, you CAN do it and it's important to care less about what others think about that. Others can either motivate you or show you down - it's on you what you choose. More importantly, if you don't take that one step forward despite knowing your capabilities, you'll have to live with the fact all your life that - you didn't even "try".
2. Believing in the craziest ideas your mind comes up with because there's a chance it can become the next BIG THING.
All you have to do here is trust yourself and your instincts. The maximum that can go wrong is your idea that didn't work and you would've spent or rather wasted a little time in something you believed in. But, more than that, there are chances your intuition was absolutely correct and there won't be any end to things you can achieve in life. Before you know it, you'll be a star and you'll be a star in your eyes anyway if you took up the challenge to take the road not taken.
3. Saying "Right back at ya" when life hits you in the face.
Believe in the reasoning for everything. Why you are here today is because you had to take off from somewhere yesterday. This is the circle of life. If you're rejected for a job or by a person you adore, it's because you have better things in store for you. So, isn't it better if you look for them already? You will definitely regret wasting time being depressed over your rejections and disappointments in life then why do that?
4. Setting up a goal for yourself and making it your priority till you achieve it.
There are not many things you can feel passionately about. However, if there's one thing that you want deeply in your life, make it your goal and go for it. Nothing comes on a platter in real life, it's you who gets things going when the going gets tough. If you give up, you'd never know how it feels to be satisfied, content. You will miss out on the sweet pleasure you MAY have achieved had you tried harder and if you somehow (which is next to impossible) miss your goal, you'll at least be able to say at the end of the day - I tried.
5. Chin up and keeping your standards high.
Just because you're not getting the best things right now does not mean you have to SETTLE. You don't settle for things in life, you just grow with each phase. Keeping your standards intact is what you've got to do to see yourself in the mirror tomorrow and say, "Well done. You did good for yourself."
6. Facing your fears.
If you're able to get over that "what if" in your mind, you'll be able to do wonders for yourself . "What if I didn't have that fear, where would I be today?" This is the toughest question to answer for anyone - "what if?" It's extremely tough but if it was impossible then you were good. Since it's NOT impossible, you need to try. Imagine what all you'll be able to do if you face your fear just once.
7. Living with your moral values without caring about what the world has come to.
The challenge in life is to keep your moral values right where they are. There are millions of people who are very different from what your are, in fact they are poles apart but giving up your morals is like giving up your identity. You don't HAVE to be a part of the crowd because in that case, you'll not be you. At the end of the day, you should be able to face yourself and others with your head held high because YOU always did the right thing and that's all that matters (however uncool it may sound to people).
8. Spreading kindness all around.
It's very well said that "little drops make an ocean". This world has very little kindness left, everyone is in a hurry and nobody has time for saying two kind words to someone. But, it's hard to imagine a world with so much hatred and when you'll think about it later in life, you'll ask yourself - "Why couldn't I be a better person?" It doesn't matter what someone else does for you, what matters is what you do for others and in return, what you do for yourself. Your this bit can one day change the world and make it a better place so instead of feeling bad tomorrow, do your part today.
9. And helping others be better, however tough it may be.
There are times people lose track in life or they simply need you. If you're around any such person and you help him/her at THAT point in their lives, you'll be a proud human being and there's nothing more you can do for yourself. This will be the most impactful part of your life - how you made a difference in even one person's life. Not many people get such opportunities - a chance to help someone create a better life for themselves. It doesn't matter if you get the same in return tomorrow but the fact that you're ready to be out there for someone just proves what a great person you are and that you only deserve good things in life.
10. Owning up to things, making your situation your own.
If you go on blaming others for anything that happens to you, there's no way you'll progress in life. It's true that you learn from your own mistakes and that's why you wouldn't ever regret taking charge of the situation that you created for yourself. Own it. Feel it. And accept it. You'll go miles and miles forward with such positivity.
11. Keep smiling because it's a new day tomorrow.
There will be dull moments that you can't ignore but if you make an effort and smile at that moment of sadness, you will go a long way. You'll thank yourself for not letting that sad moment take over the better part of your lifetime. Crying over situations for a long time has never helped anyone, the person who accepts the circumstance and chooses to smile is the one who is most satisfied in the world. Tomorrow is a new day, new situation and new LIFE for you.
12. Working day and night even if it's tough.
Having a far-sighted vision can never harm you. Today if you know it's this job that can help you reach heights in your career and life, then why not push yourself to work a little harder today? You may or may not have the time or enthusiasm in the future to do what you're doing today so gauge all that you have and work TODAY for a better tomorrow because you'll only thank yourself when you look BACK in a few years' time. Working hard is never easy (especially when you're upset) but till you work hard enough, you wouldn't ever know how it feels to get somewhere ALL BY YOURSELF.
13. Giving yourself a chance to fall in love.
This is the one thing you will REGRET if you never gave it a chance. Love is an extraordinary feeling and if you push that chance away because you were too scared of it, you will apologise to yourself for the rest of your life. It's not about falling in love with that one person, it's about opening your heart to this feeling.
14. Living life king size.
Facing your fears. Respecting others AND yourself. Pulling yourself up from situations that make you sad. Laughing when you want to and smiling even when you don't want to. It's okay to cry but not for too long. Loving others and giving them a chance to love you. Facing yourself in the mirror and being able to say - "you stood up for yourself. You rock." Taking that one step ahead to help others because tomorrow they'll help you. Going out of your way for people but never expecting things in return. Such is LIFE and if you are living it this way, you won't REGRET a thing tomorrow. In fact, you'll love yourself for life and so will everyone else around you.
